Strong

One night last week, Cannon was praying..."Thank you God for making me strong, thank you God for making me so strong that I can hit my Daddy and make him cry".

I'm Daddy

This is Brett's couch. He watches tv on it, reads on it, sleeps on it. Today, Cannon laid down and said "Look, I'm Daddy!". Hilarious.

Dippin' Dots

Sutton got this Twlight Turtle for his birthday. The turtle now lives in Cannon's room, Imagine that!

Anyway, we were looking at the constellations a few nights ago and I showed him the Big Dipper. I don't think he really understood the concept but he giggled a little.

Tonight, we are laying in bed and he turns on the turtle and says, "Mommy, will you show me the Dippin' Dots".

Stop

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, right?

So what is my child saying now?

"Stop. Stop it. Stop it, right NOW!"

Things He Says

Lately, when we say our nightime prayers I have been asking Cannon if there is anything he would like to pray about or thank God for.

Last night, he thanked God for golf clubs, the golf course and Baby Sutton Corder.

Tonight he thanked God for pricesses, dragons and castles (I guess he is enjoying my silly made up bedtime stories).

Wind

We moved Cannon's car seat and it seems to be closer to the vent now. Yesterday, it was really hot and the air was on HIGH. Once I felt the car had cooled off enough I turned it down.

Cannon said, "No, Mommy. More wind please."

Talking to Birds

We bought a new bird food (aka not the cheapest one I could find like last year). Anyway, I am now a believer in the fact that better bord food brings more birds. We have had a host of blue jays, cardinals and other birds I do not recognize.

Well, last night we were all sitting on the patio watching the birds. Cannon loves to watch and mimic them. So he was saying, "tweet, tweet, tweet" over and over. Brett looks over and says, "Cannon can you talk to birds?"

Cannon replied, "Yes!, Hey, Birds! Hey, Birds!"

Toolbelt

Cannon just picked up my bra. He held it up in the air and said "Mommy's toolbelt". Ha!

Things He Says...

-There is a police officer at our church that recently was shot in the eye trying to apprehend a criminal. He almost lost his eye and might not ever see again. He wears a patch on his eye.

A couple of weeks ago Cannon spotted him as we were walking out of church and starting pointing and yelling "Pirate!" Brett was humiliated. Which is funny, considering that he thought it was hilarious when I had a patch and Cannon called me a pirate.

-Today in Target Cannon saw an old man wearing a "old man" hat. Cannon started yelling, "Look, Mommy, a Conwaboy!"

-Last night, the moon was out early. Cannon said, "I can reach it" and started jumping up in the air to try to reach it.

-Today at Cannon's doctor's appointment he keep asking to hear the "baby's heart beep".

- Tonight we were blessed to see two beautiful rainbows. One was a complete rainbow, cannot remember if I have ever seen a complete one. Anyway, Cannon was so excited to see them. He kept saying, "Noah's Ark", "Rainbows from God", when the rainbow was gone it "Went to see God".

HIGHLIGHT of the Trip...The "Escagator"

The highlight of Cannon's vacation was most definitely the "escagator". We rode it MANY, MANY times each day. We thought the way he said it was precious!!

Things He Says

"Mommy, rub my back."

"No, Mommy scratch my back".

"Mommy, scratch it fast!"

"Mommy, cuddle my back".

Where's His Mommy?

Cannon is spoiled yes, I know. He gets to take his naps everyday with Mommy (okay, maybe I am spoiled...napping everyday. Thank you, Brett!!)

Anyway, he gets to take his naps with Mommy and gets to snuggle with Mommy or Daddy every night to go to sleep.

Last night (3/29/10), we were reading a book about little boy who was going to sleep. He was in bed alone. Cannon pointed to the bed and the little boy and said, "Oh no, Mommy. Where is his Mommy?" Today, we read a different book and another little boy was taking a nap and he said the same thing.

Cannon was so sad for this little boy that did not get to sleep with his Mommy, it was really cute.

Cute

Today Cannon and I were sorting clothes in Sutton's room. Cannon pulled out a light blue sleeper with a truck on it and said, "Mommy, Look. This is cute!"

I Buy These

Today at Walmart, Cannon had stickers in his hand and told me, "I buy these, I buy these stickers." With what money, I wonder?

Things He says...

-Cannon likes to praise me when I change his diaper. He says, "Yay, Mommy" and he claps after I change his poopy diapers. ( I started writing this before potty training).

- He also says "Thank you" after you change his diaper or do anything for him. He is always so appreciative.

-He loves Lincoln Logs and calls them "Linky Ogs".

-He says "excuse me" after he burps or has gas.

-Anytime anything is different or if something gets broken. He says, "Oh no, what happening?" or "Mommy, happening?"

-Asks "what is it?" ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the time.

- He is beginning to really "get" humor. He laughs at things on tv, things I do or say, silly things he does. He also says things are "funny". He says "boys are funny", "mommy funny".

I have been meaning to spend a little time videoing him and getting him to say a bunch of stuff and them making a video montage. Maybe I will one day.

-He is obsessed with the baby. He tells the baby to "watch this, baby", "listen, baby", "play choo choos, baby". He pulls my shirt up constantly to kiss and hug his brother.

-He says his brother is getting "bigga, bigga and bigga".

There are more things that I am sure are very adorable but I cannot remember.

Dinner

Me: Cannon we are going to go home and cook dinner. Do you like shrimp?
C: Noooo.
Me: Do you like potatoes?
C: Noooo.
Me: Do you like cheese?
C: Noooo.

Me: Well, what do you like?
C: Silence, but a shy little smile.
Me: Tell Mommy what you like.
C: GUMMY BEARS!!!!!!
