Blessed

i hope sutton will always know that he is a blessed little boy. cannon loves him so much.

today on the way to school, cannon said, "mommy i saw my baby when i was in the gym and i said 'hi, sutton'".

after school, his teacher says that cannon came over to sutton when they were in the gym and hugged him. (so sweet).

on the way home, cannon said "i saw my baby in the gym today. i gave him a big hug". i wish you could have seen the look on his face and have heard his words, he was beaming with pride. i said with tears in my eyes, "sutton is so blessed to have you as a brother".

cannon said, "God made me a big brother, i need to pray".

dear God,
thank you so much for making sutton and making me a big brother.

Let's Pray

I had a terrible migraine last night. Put Cannon to bed, turned off the lights and realized we did not pray. I felt soooo bad, I thought to myself it will be okay if I skip tonight, right? After about 10 minutes, Cannon reached over and grabbed my hand and said, "Mommy, let's pray to God".

Twice this weekend, I told Cannon he was going to get in trouble and he said, "Trouble like Jonah, Mommy??" I said, "Yep!"

Things He Says

Lately, when we say our nightime prayers I have been asking Cannon if there is anything he would like to pray about or thank God for.

Last night, he thanked God for golf clubs, the golf course and Baby Sutton Corder.

Tonight he thanked God for pricesses, dragons and castles (I guess he is enjoying my silly made up bedtime stories).
