First Date

Cannon and I went on our first date. It was sooo much fun. We went to a Charleston Riverdogs game while Brett and Sutton hung out at home.

I really hope we can make more time for evenings like this. I enjoyed spending time with him. It is not often that we spend time together in which he is the center of my attention. It was really awesome to take the time to enjoy this precious boy without any distractions.

My handsome date.

Cannon had to take my picture and have his made as well.

We stayed until the fireworks. A first for us, we usually leave halfway through. He changed into his jammies for the ride home.

We were fortunate enough to sit behind the bullpin. This pitcher, "Mike", was awesome and played with Cannon. He LOVED it!

First Date

Cannon and I had our first date! We went to a Riverdogs baseball game and had so much fun. It was so great to be with just him and be able to give me his undivided attention. He had so much fun and is still taking about it.

This is something I really hope to do more of with both boys.

Cannon just had to take my picture! Ha!

My little baseball star!

Aren't we cute!

This is Mike. He is a pitcher. He were lucky enough to have seats right behind the bull pin. Cannon made a friend. This guy was sooooo nice to him.

These pictures loaded wrong. Here Cannon is playing hide-and-seek with him. The picture above is when he found him.

Time for jammas. Headed home.

Cannon lasted for the entire game, fireworks and all!

I made these super cute cupcakes for Cannon's Halloween party.

Treasure Hunts

Since Cannon learned to walk we have gone on treasure hunts. Little walks around our neighborhood in which we basically pick up trash. On this day, we brought it back and made sculptures.

Conversation

Me: How was school?
Cannon: Don't talk.
Me: That's not nice.
C: I no want to be nice.
...Me: Did you have fun today?
C: Don't talk. You drive! You drive Momma!

Life Skills

I am thinking I am a great Mom today! It is not even 9am and I have already taught Cannon TWO important skills! Skill # 1) How to pick up a YUCKO bug with tissue and put it in the potty (I also think I succeeded in brainwashing him by telling all big boys pick up bugs and now he is just like Daddy!) Hopefully, I will never have to pick up one again! Skill #2) How to remove nail polish from Mommy's toes

Moe's

So Friday night, I asked Cannon where he wanted to eat.

He replied, "Welcome to Moe's".

Toolbelt

Cannon just picked up my bra. He held it up in the air and said "Mommy's toolbelt". Ha!

Where's His Mommy?

Cannon is spoiled yes, I know. He gets to take his naps everyday with Mommy (okay, maybe I am spoiled...napping everyday. Thank you, Brett!!)

Anyway, he gets to take his naps with Mommy and gets to snuggle with Mommy or Daddy every night to go to sleep.

Last night (3/29/10), we were reading a book about little boy who was going to sleep. He was in bed alone. Cannon pointed to the bed and the little boy and said, "Oh no, Mommy. Where is his Mommy?" Today, we read a different book and another little boy was taking a nap and he said the same thing.

Cannon was so sad for this little boy that did not get to sleep with his Mommy, it was really cute.

Baby

Cannon loves the baby in my belly.

He pulls my shirt up several times a day and says "Mama baby".

He kisses the baby, says "hey baby", feeds "him", and pulls my shirt down and says. "bye bye".

Today he pulled my shirt up and said "BIG!" He did this THREE times today!

Got to love the honesty of a toddler.

Charlestowne Landing

Last Friday was Friday Funday for Cannon and Mommy! We had our very own date! We went to Charlestowne Landing with it is site of the first settlement in Charleston in 1640 (I think). We had a nice walk, talked to animals and basically had the park to ourselves.

I think the highlight of his day was the cannons and the turkeys!

It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed just spending time with my little man.

He is growing up so fast!

Turkeys!

Bison. He can actually say it too!

After we saw all the animals we finished up our walk and stumbled upon this pond with tons of turtles. They all starting swimming over towards us so we decided to feed them bagel chips!
