Mickey Mouse. Here we Come!

We have decided to go to Disney for our first vacation as a family of four! We booked out trip this week! We are not going until September but I am sooooooo excited already!!

I love Disney and I know it will be MAGICAL to share it with our boys especially Cannon.

We are staying at the Carribean Beach Resort. Cannon and I have been talking about the trip all week.

I was on the phone booking the vacation and he thought I was talking to Mickey. When asked if he wanted to have breakfast with Mickey, he said "What about Pete?".

The booking agent said there are no Pete appearences!!!!!!!!! Oh no!

Who's Who?

This may be easy for some of you since you have seen these. But which baby is Cannon and which is Sutton?

School Music Program

Cannon school has a precious little music program at the end of the school year. Cannpn has been singing these songs for months, he knows them all by heart but at the program he was more interested in watching himself on the big screens that were behind him.

He was also SUPER tired because he woke up at 6am this morning. You can probably tell how tired he is.

This one kid cried like this the whole time. It was hilarious. Cannon did not think it was funny, he was quite concerned about this poor child.

Quotations

For the first two or three days after Sutton came home, Cannon would ask "Where is his Mommy?"
Now when you aks who is Sutton's Mommy and Daddy he points to Brett and I.

About 3-4 times a day he says:

"Mommy's tummy is little".
This makes Mommy feel especially good!

He also likes to tell me at least once a day:
"Baby Sutton not in Mommy's tummy anymore. He came out. Doctor cut Mommy's tummy".

Me: "Cannon you look tired".
Cannon: "You look tired too."

Cannon: "I nurse the baby" as he grabs the Boppy.
Me: "Mommies nurse babies".
Cannon: "I nurse baby too" as he grabs his little boy doll and places him on the Boppy.

One day this week the three of us were in the tub. Sutton was laying on my legs and decided he need to go peepee.

Well, it went straight up in the air.

Cannon laughed uncontrollably for what seemed like 5 minutes. He even got hiccups he laughed so hard.

He keep saying, "Baby Sutton peed in the air". I could tell he was a bit jealous. :)

Sweet B's (Nee Nee) Cookies

"Sweet B", Bethany sent us these gorgeous cookies. I met her through my friend, Joy. What a "sweet" gift. :)

Last Friday, we met our friends at a River Dogs game. He was a little distracted by his best friend, Dev, but I think he still enjoyed it. He has not stopped playing baseball since. We literally have to "pitch", "catch" and "hit" EVERY day!!!!

Slip n Slide

This blog is about our family, mostly our precious boys; Cannon and Sutton, but you will find it a window into our lives.

Brett and I met and fell in love over waiting tables at the Original Benjamin's Seafood Buffet in Myrtle Beach, SC. We dated for about 4 years and were married September 2003 at Litchfield Plantation. We lived in Savannah for five years and now reside in Summerville SC.

Our beautiful boys were born 2008 and 2010.

We are amazed everyday by the gifts that are our children. They are a reminder of God's unconditional love for us. Someone once told me that you cannot begin to understand God's love for you until you have a child and it is so true. God sent His Only Son to DIE for us. I am not sure we knew what kind of sacrifice that truly was until having children of our own.

We love the Lord and strive to live our lives in accordance with His will. We are not perfect. Yes, we fail daily but find ourselves back at the cross willing to try again.

Our firstborn son. He made me a Mommy, Brett a Daddy! He is beautiful...inside and out! He has a the most gorgeous blue eyes and dimple to match. This kid is going to break some hearts! He is our athlete. He loves anything with a ball. He already has a great baseball arm and can hit a golf ball over our fence! He is spirited and loving. He is a lover for sure! He loves to give hugs and kisses and to cuddle. He will just grab my face and give me a million kisses. He loves books and music and art! He knows more songs that I do. I joke he has music in his bones. I often hear him singing while playing alone. So cute. He has a great sense of humor already and he fills our days with laughter! Who knew having kids would provide endless entertainment. He is becoming an amazing big brother and already tells Sutton that he "loves him so much". He loves to drink chocolate milk. Loves eat pancakes, hummus, edamame, and peanut butter and jelly! He has a huge sweet tooth just like Daddy. He is already showing that he loves God and Jesus and even beginning to relate the things in God's word to our world. Amazing! He is fearless and cautious at the same time. He is often called a daredevil and is usually the first kid to jump, climb, and run.. with no regard to danger (He laughs in the face of danger!! Ha). But he is very cautious around new people. He is creative and imaginative and smart, loves to create and destroy, has more energy than you can imagine, loves to scream and laugh and RUN!!! Watch out, this kid will run away with your heart.
