drama--shots

Thirty days ago, Cannon got a flu shot booster. He did not get the swine flu vaccine last year so he had to have 2 flu shots this years. The first one wasn't bad because he had forgotten what a shot was like. But OH MY! For the second one he remembered all to well! He started screaming before he even saw the shot. It took me and anotehr nurse to hold him. He was screaming so loud that you could hear him int he waiting room so I hear. And then the drama began. He was so injured due to the "boo boo" that he could hardly do anything the entire day. I am going to be in for it when his 3 yr check-up comes around!

Lie

We are born sinners.
Jesus was born to save us.

I always assumed that so many things about a person were learned, acquired from watching parents, etc.

This was before I had kids. It is so apparent in them from a very early age that we are all born sinners.

Cannon has been "lying" lately. Whenever Brett or I tell him to do something he doesn't want to do or stop doing something. He replies with, "My Mommy/daddy says I can _______"

For example.

Me: Cannon stop jumping on the bed.
C: My Daddy says I can jump on the bed.

This is the amazing world of my spirited little boy! He started "pretending" what seems like forever ago. So now he is pretty good at it. He can turn "anything" into "anything" he needs. So imaginative, so amazing, my sweet boy.

took sutton to the doctor today. we weighed 21 lbs 6 oz.

Reaching

Tonight Sutton reached for me. A friend was holding him and he reaches out both of his little arms for me! I almost cried. Sweet boy.

MOPS Christmas

I am am table leader for Crossroads MOPS this year. For our December meeting the theme was "Wacky, tacky Christmas". So my table got together and made these fabulous t-shirts. We were also responsible for a centerpiece. Can you believe we did not win???
