Knowing that potty training would be feat for my son, as it is for most boys, we decided to get Cannon a potty early and begin talking about it! For a couple of weeks, we have had two little potties, one upstairs and one downstairs. This little froggie potty is his favorite. We sit Cannon on it occassionally and talk about "pee pee" and "poop poop". We have basically been "playing" with the potty!

Well, for at least a week now he has been saying "pee pee" and "poop poop" when we do, usually when we change his diaper. He will even make a "stinky" face and wave his hand in front of his face when he poops, mimicking me of course!

Yesterday, we were driving down the road and he grabbed his little boys parts and said, "Pee Pee". So this morning when I changed his diaper and he grabbed and said, "pee pee", I put him on his potty and GUESS WHAT?????? He went "pee pee" on the potty!

I am sure it was just perfect timing and all but I was still so proud of him!

So does this mean that we should REALLY start training? I am not sure that I AM READY for that!

Tonight before bed, Cannon and I were reading books like we normally do and he wentr over to the book basket and picked up Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and said, "Boom, Boom" and brought it over for me to read! Pure Cuteness!

New Friends

So sad! I loaded this picture last night to show you all our new friends. We have been feeding these geese for a few days every morning on our walk. We call them "ducks" becuase that is easier for Cannon to say.

Anyway, today on our walk we noticed that the gosling was missing...

This blog is about our family, mostly our precious boys; Cannon and Sutton, but you will find it a window into our lives.

Brett and I met and fell in love over waiting tables at the Original Benjamin's Seafood Buffet in Myrtle Beach, SC. We dated for about 4 years and were married September 2003 at Litchfield Plantation. We lived in Savannah for five years and now reside in Summerville SC.

Our beautiful boys were born 2008 and 2010.

We are amazed everyday by the gifts that are our children. They are a reminder of God's unconditional love for us. Someone once told me that you cannot begin to understand God's love for you until you have a child and it is so true. God sent His Only Son to DIE for us. I am not sure we knew what kind of sacrifice that truly was until having children of our own.

We love the Lord and strive to live our lives in accordance with His will. We are not perfect. Yes, we fail daily but find ourselves back at the cross willing to try again.

Our firstborn son. He made me a Mommy, Brett a Daddy! He is beautiful...inside and out! He has a the most gorgeous blue eyes and dimple to match. This kid is going to break some hearts! He is our athlete. He loves anything with a ball. He already has a great baseball arm and can hit a golf ball over our fence! He is spirited and loving. He is a lover for sure! He loves to give hugs and kisses and to cuddle. He will just grab my face and give me a million kisses. He loves books and music and art! He knows more songs that I do. I joke he has music in his bones. I often hear him singing while playing alone. So cute. He has a great sense of humor already and he fills our days with laughter! Who knew having kids would provide endless entertainment. He is becoming an amazing big brother and already tells Sutton that he "loves him so much". He loves to drink chocolate milk. Loves eat pancakes, hummus, edamame, and peanut butter and jelly! He has a huge sweet tooth just like Daddy. He is already showing that he loves God and Jesus and even beginning to relate the things in God's word to our world. Amazing! He is fearless and cautious at the same time. He is often called a daredevil and is usually the first kid to jump, climb, and run.. with no regard to danger (He laughs in the face of danger!! Ha). But he is very cautious around new people. He is creative and imaginative and smart, loves to create and destroy, has more energy than you can imagine, loves to scream and laugh and RUN!!! Watch out, this kid will run away with your heart.
