Today, Cannon had his 12 month well-baby checkup. He got two out of the four vaccinations (we will get the other 2 in a few weeks). His head was 47 cm (75th percentile), he weighed 26 pounds 11 ounces (90th percentile), and drum roll please...his height was 32.5 inches! He is finally above 50th percentile for height! He is in the 95th percentile!!!!!!! I was beginning to worry he was going to be short like me! He had a huge jump from 50th percentile at his last well-baby visit.
Dr. Tripp was very impressed with all his "skills". She thinks he is just great! He was an absolute clown for the entire visit. Normally he clams up in unfamiliar surroundings. Not today! I told Brett if I did not know any better, I would have thought someone gave him Mountain Dew! He was a WILD man in the exam room. He was crawling all over the disgusting floor, which is weird because he NEVER crawls. He was also doing this "crawl" where he was standing but his hands were still on the ground. He was going around so fast! He was naked except his diaper, maybe he was enjoying the freedom or the cold floor. Who knows! He also ripped the paper off the exam table about five times and unrolled it just as many times. He was a little tornado!
Finally, when he got his vaccinations he did not even cry! He did scream at the nurse twice. Normally, we have crocodile tears after vaccines, not today! He was so good that the nurse gave him a gold token for a prize out of the gumball machine!

Itsy Bitsy Spider
Yesterday, Cannon and I were riding down the road and I started singing this song! It is one of his favorites.
Well, I started singing and I was watching him in the mirror and he did the "spider" going up the water spout each time I said, "itsy bitsy spider". He did it several times.
I have to video tape it for you all to see but I needed to document it for me. :)

Beach Already?
Cannon and I went to the beach today. This was his second beach trip. I was a little worried that he might eat hand fulls of sand like last time. He did not! He liked playing in the sand. He loved it until he stepped in a puddle and it acted like "quick sand" and kept sucking him in. He started SCREAMING!

We have been spending so much time outside and I am getting so excited for Spring and Summer. We are going to have so much fun this year.

Soccer?
Watch Cannon "play" soccer.
He LOVES to kick this soccer ball. He loves to play with all types of balls. He understands that he is supposed to kick this one. He knows to "dunk" his basketball AND he knows which ball to put on his t-ball set too. So cute...
Park Day!!
We took Cannon to a different park this weekend. IT WAS WILD! I think we will save this park for the weekdays when most kids are in school. I think he was a little overwhelmed. It was a great park though!
He LOVES climbing through tunnels.
