Someone Please Feed Me.....

Everytime we go grocery shopping I have to watch Cannon closely or he gets things out of the cart. I left my list in Thursday, so I was really focused on "the list in my mind" and did not notice that Cannon was eating the squash! Notice the little bite marks.

Laying Out

Today, I noticed on a "friend's" facebook that they were "laying out". I could not stop the laughing in my head that my adult, mommy friend was laying out! It really cracked me up.

For starters, I have not heard to term "laying out" in forever, possibly, not since my early college years! Why is it called, "laying out"? Wiktionary defines it as "to arange in a specific way"! That made me crack up even more...

I could not get the picture out of my head of my friends and I in our itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, "boys look at me" bikinis arranging ourselves on the beach! We definitely did our share of "laying out" but we were ole so young and "cute" (as Alisha would say) . The thought of "arranging" myself on the beach nowadays, Bahaaaaaahaaa. Again, hilarious. Today, my idea of laying out would be arranging my umbrella not my body.

Now I am a mom, yes, I go to the beach but not to "lay out", I simply go to the beach to play with my son, watch him eat sand, rescue him from "quicksand", and watch his little eyes in amazement as he watches the waves crash! Yes, I don my bathing suit, which if I was using the fabric from my old bikinis I would need, hum, say FIVE of them!

Laying out in the "traditional" Myrtle Beach term is a thing of the past! Thank God. I will take my Mommy version anyday!

Mmmmm.

Cannon says, "Mmmmmm" when he eats something he likes.

Last week, we were playing in his room and my back was turned to him.

I heard him say, "Mmmmm".

I turned around to see an elated little boy holding

a half-eaten, foiled-covered, chocolate egg.

He said, "Mmmmm" one more time.

I immediately took it from him and removed the foil from his mouth and the egg,

planning to induldge myself in a little "Mmmmm".

Felt bad.

Gave him another bite.

I ate the rest.

New Accomplishments

Cannon has two new words!

He can sign "more" and he can say "golf"!

Bubbles

I know that I do not post many videos of Cannon "speaking", so I thought you might like hear him say, "bubbles". He will ask for "bubbles" several times a day if we are outside.

Rolly Pollies

We went to Rolly Pollies again this week.

This is Cannon's absolute favorite thing at RP, the roller coaster!

This video is most impressive considering the first visit to RP, found him crying and clinging for dear life when I placed him on the trampoline. Last week, he decided it was fun and began to run on it. I think he is is making big progress.

New Friend, New Experiences

A new friend, bring new experieces for both Mommy and I. This week my Mom let my friend Devric stay over while his Mom went to play practice. She is in a play at our local community theater.

Well, anyway, this was Mom and Dad's first experience keeping another kid and ME! Unfortunately, Devric was a little "angel" (a direct quote from my Dad). Devric slept in my stupid cage that Mom calls a crib!!!! He even went to sleep without a Mommy!!!????? All by himself, seriously? What is wrong with this kid? Dad says he is an angel. I think he is weird! Don't get ANY ideas, I will not be sleeping in that cage and I will not be going to sleep alone!

What do you think of this picture? I think he look like a natural.

___________

My other experience this week, thanks to Ms. Joy, was a McDonald's hamburger. She talked Mom into letting me have a burger!! Yum.

Devric loves burgers. I think his mom is way cool.
