prayer request
our realtor said another offer was submitted on the house. we have a contract and our offer has been sent to the bank already which is good. this offer is a full price offer and the owner is notifying the bank about it. sicne our offer was in first i think we have the option of matching their offer if the bank rejects ours. but not sure if we will do that.
so we will see...
so we will see...

One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer...
Do you know this song?
Well, it is a secular song all about drinking. It really does have a great "beat".
Anyway, tonight it was on in Five Guys and Cannon got out of his seat and danced like I have never seen before. It was awesome!
He was doing this little motion with his hands...kind of like you would if you were imitating a train.
I love his innocence. I love how he could care less what people think about him.
I love the crazy little man who makes me laugh all the time.

Heaven
we were reading the bible. cannon saw a star, said it looked like a cross and made a cross with his fingers.
me: tell me about the cross.
cannon: jesus dies on the cross.
me: why?
cannon: jesus loves the little children (singing)
me: and so we could go to heaven?
cannon: yes.
with tears welling up in his eyes.
cannon: i don't want to go to heaven.
me: it's ok. you will not go to heaven until you are very old.
cannon: no. i dont want to get old. i want to be little.
me: you will always be my little boy.
crying. hold me mommy.
how sad. i think he realized tonight for the first time that if he goes to heaven, he leaves his family. he was heartbroken.
can you imagine? for this sweet boy nothing could be any better than the life he has right now. he is in heaven. it breaks my heart to know that i cannot always shield him from this world and that soon enough he will feel the real hurts of this world. reminds me of this post from about a year ago.

Tell Me a Story
I began making up stories with Cannon a long time ago. For some reason the ones with the Princess always stick with him.
One night last week.
Cannon: Tell me a story about a princess.
Me: Okay.
Cannon: Once Upon a time far far away there was a princess. Princess Mommy. Princess Kimberly. She had a dragon named Cannon. They lived happily ever after. The End.
Tonight.
Cannon: Tell me a story about two princesses.
So I made up an elaborate story in which one of the Princesses jumped in a chocolate fountain! YUM!
When I was finished.
Cannon: Now I will tell you a story. Once upon a time in a land far away was a Princess. Her name was Princess Kimberly. She had many beautiful things. She has a waterfall in her castle. She was happy. She lived happily ever after. The end.
So precious. I love that he always names his Princess. I never name mine. He calls me his Princess all the time so maybe that is why he does it.
I love how his little imagination can make up a story. These simple stories above are completely his, he has not heard these versions from me.
I love this child.

A New House?
We have been house hunting and we made an offer on a house. I was hesitant to write about it because it might not happen. The offer we made was a short sale and we have to wait to hear back from the bank which could take forever! They may not accept our offer, so we wait to see if we have a new house. I want to post pictures but I am worried I might jinx us. Ha!
It is in Wescott which is the community we live in now. It isn't our dream house but we are SUPER excited about it. I am in LOVE with all the space and closets! Brett is in love with the golf course view, the fact that he can walk right onto the course in the evening with our "Tiger-in-Training" and the extra parking pad just perfect for his boat!
Cannon is in love with the bonus room which he has claimed as "my BIIIIIG room" and huge, concrete frog in the neighbor's yard. Sutton is probably happy too! There is so much space to explore.
I cannot wait to see if this is "our" house.
If not, we will be on the house hunt again.

Overwhelmed
We Have a Crawler!!!!
Sutton has been doing an amazing little army crawl for some time now but over the last couple of days he has been playing with the idea of crawling on all fours. I caught this cute video today.
