Halloween Fun

I made these super cute cupcakes for Cannon's Halloween party.

We did a few little halloween projects around here. One was this haunted house.

Pirate or Witch?

Cannon wanted to be a pirate for Halloween. SO I embarked on costumes for our family! We would be pirates.

Lately, everyone asks Cannon what he will be for Halloween. He replies, "pirate".

I usually have him tell what everyone else will be too.

"Baby Sutton will be a parrot. Daddy a Daddy Pirate. Mommy a Mommy Pirate".

Last week when I asked what was Mommy going to be he said, " A Witch". I replied, "Mommy is going to be a pirate, remember I bought my costume?" He said, "No Mommy, Pirates are boys. You be a witch". I guess I asked for it!

Spit and Paths

If you have ever ridden in my car you might notice that there are two ways to get to our house. I go different ways depending on...well I guess my mood! Not really sure why! Anyway, today as we were driving Cannon said "I do not want to go this path, Mommy. Can we please go the other path to Divot Lane".

--

Tonight, Cannon and I were playing baseball. Cannon asked me to pitch. He grabbed his bat, hit it on the "base", raised his arms up to hit and then he turned his head to the side and "spit". I guess he is ready for MLB now!

NO More ER!

Last night I spent 4.5 hours in the ER with Sutton. He apparently had some type of viral gastro thing. He was throwing up a lot. We were worried. They gave him some zofran and praise God he is now perfectly normal. Like nothing happened.

Waterfall

When we went to Bryson City, we arrived the afternoon before our train ride, so we decided to go on a little walk to see a waterfall.

Sutton watched as Daddy and Cannon decided to get a little closer.

Daddy changed his mind. The freezing water and slippery rocks got him!

On the Way...

On the way to Bryson City we stopped for Cannon to stretch his legs and Mommy to get a frappe! Yum.

Right beside McDonalds was a Krispy Kreme with a HOT NOW sign on!! So of course, we ventured over for Cannon to have his first taste!

He did not like getting the glaze on his fingers. Silly boy.

Oh, how I LOVE these precious little gifts!!

Bryson City

We recently went on a little trip. We spent a few days in Rock Hill, Charlotte and ended our trip in Bryson City. My friend, Cheryl, mentioned this little train ride several months ago and I decided we should all do it! And so, we did. We traveled to Bryson City, NC for A Great Pumpkin Celebration with Charlie Brown and the gang! Devric and his family joined us too. It was soooo much fun. We rented the caboose and it was the best decision EVER! The kids enjoyed having the freedom, I enjoyed that fact that they were not annoying other passengers and we had our own restrooms, "kitchen" with delicious food, we had these little seats that were "above the train" therefore, we had some of the best views on the train and we had our own little "balconies" (not sure what to call the area at the front and back of caboose).

Anyway, we had a GREAT time and cannot wait to go back. There is talk of an annual trip!

Going trick or treating. This was really cute. They had all these little "houses" set up in this tent for trick or treating. So cute.

Here are a few shots of our family on the train and at the pumpkin patch/carnival.
