Things He Says...

-There is a police officer at our church that recently was shot in the eye trying to apprehend a criminal. He almost lost his eye and might not ever see again. He wears a patch on his eye.

A couple of weeks ago Cannon spotted him as we were walking out of church and starting pointing and yelling "Pirate!" Brett was humiliated. Which is funny, considering that he thought it was hilarious when I had a patch and Cannon called me a pirate.

-Today in Target Cannon saw an old man wearing a "old man" hat. Cannon started yelling, "Look, Mommy, a Conwaboy!"

-Last night, the moon was out early. Cannon said, "I can reach it" and started jumping up in the air to try to reach it.

-Today at Cannon's doctor's appointment he keep asking to hear the "baby's heart beep".

- Tonight we were blessed to see two beautiful rainbows. One was a complete rainbow, cannot remember if I have ever seen a complete one. Anyway, Cannon was so excited to see them. He kept saying, "Noah's Ark", "Rainbows from God", when the rainbow was gone it "Went to see God".

36 weeks 1 day

I had an doctor's appointment today.

I have gained 17 pounds which means I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks! Yikes!

Dr. Hamilton said, I was "measuring perfectly" so I assume that means 36 weeks.

My blood pressure was a little elavated today.
I had protein in my urine again.
I was super nauseous this morning and some throughout the day.

She decided that I needed to have some bloodwork done and that I needed to do a urine collection for 24 hours. So starting tomorrow, I will be collecting every ounce of urine for 24 hours and storing it in my refrigerator! Fun!

I guess she is trying to rule out preeclampsia.

I will have an ultrasound next week to check my fluid levels and possibly one every week until the baby comes. Yay, it will be fun to see him again.

She also did my Group B Streph test and checked my cervix. Which was really strange because when I was pregnant with Cannon my doctor never checked my cervix because I will planning to have a c-section. I hope I do not have to have it checked every week. I hear that it gets painful!

Anyway, requesting prayers for bloodwork, lab tests and for Sutton and Mommy!

HIGHLIGHT of the Trip...The "Escagator"

The highlight of Cannon's vacation was most definitely the "escagator". We rode it MANY, MANY times each day. We thought the way he said it was precious!!

Stone Mountain

On our last day we went to Stone Mountain, Georgia! It was a gorgeous day.

Cannon went on his first "Thomas Choo Choo" train ride.

Was that a whistle??
Cuddling Mommy.

Zoo Atlanta

Okay, back to blogging about our vacation.

We took Cannon to the zoo one day. I did not take many pictures, sorry. His favorite part of the day was the Petting Zoo. I think it was a highlight for Brett and I too!! Cannon was adorable brushing all the animals. Everytime one would move he would say " I wake him up!".

See the huge gorilla in the background?

Monster

We have created a MONSTER by taking Cannon to his first Baseball game. This kid talks about baseball all day! Demanded to watch baseball at 7:30 am this morning instead of Mickey Mouse. WHAT??? No Mickey Mouse Clubhouse??He had to settle for Sportscenter but was annoyed everytime the baseball highlights went off.

He yells/cheers at the TV. "Good pitch". "He missed it". "Good Hit".

Today, he watched someone slide into homeplate and he recreated the moment for me.

He took a Sports Illustrated to school today because it had a Braves article in it. He is now calling Baby Sutton, Baby Heyward. He made me "pinch" aka pitch forever tonight! Then Daddy got home and continued the game.

Before bed he demanded to watch more baseball! He walks around saying, "I play baseball. I hit it like Chipper."

Daddy is very proud.

Cry

I want to cry.

And as I type that I think I might.

I am miserable.

I tried to go to sleep.

I cannot.

I cannot breath when I lay down.

So I prop myself up with lots of pillows.

Uncomfortable.

I think Cannon is waking up and will want me to lay down and cuddle him.

I cannot breath.

I like to breath.

I think I might cry.

I am miserable.

I am going to get bigger.

Breather will not get easier.

Cry. I think I will.

Things He Says

"Mommy, rub my back."

"No, Mommy scratch my back".

"Mommy, scratch it fast!"

"Mommy, cuddle my back".

Braves Game

On Thursday night we took Cannon to his first baseball game. He was very excited. I think Brett was even more excited. I am sure this was one of those moments that he has looked forward to since he found out we were going to have a little boy.

A future Braves player?

Ballpark hotdog. This is funny because he never eats a hotdog in the bun, ever! But he did at the game and loved it.

Had to snap a picture of the Chicken Lay Cow.
Yes, we gave him cotton candy! Dippin' Dots too! We had to make sure he loved the whole experience.
Licking those fingers.

Okay, now for the cutest video ever! He loved the game and we stayed until the end of the 6th inning. Much longer than we thought we would be able too. He really got into the whole experience.

At the end of the video he is asking "where is Chipper?"

We went back to the hotel and talked about our day. He told me all about the game and said that Chipper hit the ball and got a boo boo and cried. I think he did get injured while we were in the bathroom but not sure where Cannon got his little "story". He has been hitting his baseball in the backyard and saying "I do it like Chipper".

Spring Break

Well, we decided to take our only child on a little trip for his spring break. He thought it would be his "last hoorah" as an only child. So for four days he basked in the undivided attention of both of his parents.

On our first morning we took him to the Georgia Aquarium.

BIG FISH!

Please stop taking my picture so I can see these fish.

I touch it!

We told Cannon that we were going to watch a movie so everytime he went by these signs, he would sit in front of the movie signs. He also sat down infront of a little itty bitty television to watch the "movie".

Enjoying the 4-d glasses. He loved the movie and kept trying to grab the various objects that were "close" to his face.

Touching a stingray.

Big Turtle.

We let him get a lollipop as we left. He was in STICKY heaven.
He feel asleep before we got back to the hotel. He looked like a "glazed donut" to quote his Dad. His hair, legs and hands were covered!
We all went back to the hotel and took a 3 hour nap. Actually, we took a 3 hour nap everyday!!
