Poppy's Boy!

Poppy got Cannon overalls and a four-wheeler for Christmas.
Here we are out in the country, being well....A Country Boy!

Christmas Injury

Well, one of the highlights or rather lowlights of Christmas at The Corder Home was Cannon's first major injury. Truth be told, it was a minor injury but when it happened it was pretty major to both baby and Mommy. Cannon was chasing one of the many dogs around and slipped on a rug and fell on a metal chaffing dish with his FACE! He had a spot right below his eye and a SLASHED place on his face. I freaked out, cried and almost threw up at the thought of my beautiful little boy have a damaged face and needing stitches. He did not need stitches and is healing rather nicely now. Here are a few pictures the morning after.

Christmas Part III (Corder Home)

Christmas in Rock Hill!
How do you squeeze 20 people in one house overnight? Very carefully...

Buddy was ready for the festivities! Bring on the presents.

Can you read Ryan's cup? It says, "Sweet Pea", he accidently picked up my cup.

Cannon's Aunt Laura goes to school at USC and my Aunt Katie goes to Clemson. So if you were wondering which team won Cannon over...I think it may have been Aunt Laura and USC! His first collegiate sweatshirt!

Jofee the Horse gave Cannon these awesome finger puppets,
Knights of the Plush Table, from Restoration Hardware.

My Grandpa and My Gigi gave me this rocking horse. He is very soft.

All the grandkids and two great grandkids.

The entire Corder clan under one roof for Christmas,
what a treasured memory.

Four generations of Corder men.

Cannon and I riding his new horsey!!

Christmas Part II (Cannon Home)

Here we are at Grampy's house.
My Nana came over too. Here we are opening presents.

My Nana gave me a pelican pull toy and a Mega Blocks Wagon! I have loved that wagon for a while and now I have my own. My Uncle Chad and Aunt Stacy gave me a big boy firetruck that lights up and has a siren.

Do you see that Puppy Pull Toy from my Grampy? He goes, "argh" when you pull it.
Grampy gave Peyton and Cannon these cute horses that sing and talk.

His mouth moves when he sings! So funny.

We made a calendar with photos of Cannon from the past year as a gift for Grampy.

He loved it.

Cannon gave Nana a picture of him and he took it back. He loves looking at pictures of himself.

Chad, Stacy, Little Peyton and US

With Nana.

Grampy, Aunt Gordie, Peyton Brooke and Cannon Thomas.

Just the two of us.

Now the three of us.

Growing up, I always decorated my Dad's Christmas tree, house, etc. Even went I went away to college, Dad would ask me to come home and decorate it for him. Several years ago, he started decorating his own tree. He does a great job! Normally, he puts a wreath on the front door, a few white lights on the porch and maybe some icisile lights. This year he decided that he would decorate the outside just for Cannon and Peyton. He decorated the entire yard! It was great! The kids loved it! Here they are walking among all the lights.

Christmas Morning

Cannon's First Christmas. Oh, so fun!

Can you tell that we just woke up, very sleepy!

My rocking horse! (Well, one of them!)

A lawn mower like Dad.

A four-wheeler.

Cannon got so many things for Christmas. He was a very blessed little boy! Right now, we have toys in two living rooms and two cars! When we get home we will put everything out and take a picture so you can see everything. He must have been a VERY good boy this year!

Christmas Part I (Lovelace Home)

To say that Christmas is an adventure at the Lovelace home is probably an understatement. Something hilarious always happens, and many people usually end up in tears from all the laughter. I remember one year they were all laughing and CRYING watching Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. They would laugh before anything funny ever even happened.
Sean could not even breath he was laughing so hard!
That is just one of the fun memories at their home.
This year was marked with very special memories, because it was
Cannon's first Christmas.
And, yes there were still some funny moments too!

This is Cannon's special Christmas outfit that Mimi got him.

Presents!!!!

Mimi got all of us Santa hats. She got Lora and I matching shirts! My shirt was HUGE and we had to safety pin the back of it so that it did not fall off of me! We should have taken a picture of that! I looked pretty funny from the backside!

FUNNY TIMES START HERE!!!
Okay! Here is a funny Lovelace moment! Mimi collects Santas, so Sean and Lora bought her one for Christmas. She was trying to open the box and accidentally opened it from the bottom, so she could not see what was in the box. It was turned towards Brett and he was the first to see the Santa! When she finally got him to slide out of the box, Brett yelled, "That's a black Santa!" Everyone was checking him out because, Sean and Lora did not mean to purchase a black Santa. Apparently, the lady at the store gave them the wrong version of the Santa. What made it so great is that Sean was convinced it was not black until we placed him beside the white Santa.
It was a funny moment.

Uncle Sean and Aunt Lora.

Can you see the small hedgehog beside Cannon? That was another funny moment. It was a gift from Sean and Lora. He was terrified of it. It makes crazy noises and vibrates around. He did not want it to touch him!

Okay, another one!! Lora and I were so excited to see that Poppy went to Victoria's Secret for Mimi! We were so impressed that he would go there! We went on and on all night about how someone must have been good this year, etc! Well, it was the last present left to open. I went over and grabbed it and Carla was so embarrassed. She did not want to open it in front of all of us. Then, she started pulling our camouflage hunting "gear". Apparently, Tom's friend gave him his Christmas gift in the Victoria's Secret bag as a joke. We just assumed it was a gift for Carla when we brought it in! Needless to say, she was both confused and relieved by the gift!

Our matching shirts and Santa!
