We are officially residents of Summerville, South Carolina! Last Tuesday, we made the move! My dear friend, Gianna, came to help me with unpacking and Cannon.
The movers were scheduled for 8am last Tuesday. They did not show up until 10am and when they did...drum roll please...they had no idea they were supposed to be PACKING our stuff! They thought they were just moving it! WHAT????? Brett was already in Charleston and I freaked out! I truly wanted to kill him because he was not there to help me! I think I called Brett 1 million times while the movers were in our home. Poor thing, I was not very nice! Brett took care of everything from a far and they did pack and move our things. We did not arrive in Summerville until around 6pm and the movers did not leave until 10pm!
Over the next few days we gradually unpacked UNLABELED boxes, Gianna cooked dinner for us and helped me manage my sanity and Cannon. Thank you, Gianna! The movers did not label a single box and they placed items in the most random containers too! That is why I just found the USB cable and have not uploaded new pictures of Cannon yet!

So, here we are in this really nice but really small apartment. It is half the size of our townhouse. I have been having a hard time with the fact that NONE of my things fit into the place. I keep reminding myself that it is temporary, but more so, that this move is a blessing from God. It is because of this move that I get to stay at home with Cannon.
Apart from the apartment, I love Summerville. It is a quaint, historic town with "city perks"! There are so many things to do here, we went to the Flowertown Festival this past weekend. There are so many activities, classes and events for kids! Oh and guess what? We have a Mustard Seed AND a TARGET! The Target is about ONE minute away from the apartment!
Tomorrow, I am meeting a Christian Mommy and Me group. I am very excited to meet some fellow Mommies!
I have to admit, I am still living among boxes and I am okay with that. I decided that this move was about Cannon and it is not important to always have a perfect home. Instead, I will find joy in ths perfect little person!

Where is your bedroom in these pictures and what are you doing without your bed..I am confused! I like the apartment..it is pretty and bright! Just think, less to clean :o)
When we come to visit I expect a complete tour of Summerville and definitely to eat dinner at the Mustard Seed- hope they like babies!!
yeah, we are famous in your blog! :) I LOVE your list of things to be happy about..there are LOTS. of things on there I AM happy about as well! AND..do you know that i JUST had a Premiere Jewelry party a couple of weeks ago, and Ashley is having on the 24th! You are gonna fit in great here (if we didnt scare you off today ha!). I can tell we are gonna be great friends - so glad you were brave enough to come here not knowing anyone! Oh..and tell Brent that the kid that shares his kids name is COOL, and SO cute and its okay cause you guys were just copying US and not the other way around ;)
oh, and we are SO going to the Mustard Seed for lunch next week! :)
you did not scare me off. i cannot believe i am saying this but i aenjoyed the chaos! thanks for the sandwich! oh and for the washcloth! LOL!
ok. so ashley has to soooo cancel her jewelry show and have one with me instead!! hehe. don't you just love the stuff!
