Poor Cannon

Cannon does not like to be left in church nursery. He cried for the entire hour tonight. Poor thing.

Stairs

Cannon has been climbing these stairs since we moved into this house. He loves it. I never have my camera handy because I am usually more concerned with him falling. Tonight I had it ready, he can climb so fast!

Date with Mommy and Daddy

It was a beautiful day in Charleston. It was 70 degrees and we decided to take Cannon to the park. We took him to the playground when we lived in the apartment but he was so little that he just basically, sat in his sling. So today, was his official first time to the playground as a big boy.

The swing made him very sleepy.

25 Random Things

I saw this on a friend's blog (well, a person I wish was my friend...since I have not been to any Mommy and Me events, we have not really hung out much). Anyway...

This is 25 Random Things about My Sweet Little Boy

1. He loves yogurt.
2. He says "cat" all day. Even when he hears a dog "bark" When I try to correct him and say "dog", he says "cat" and cracks up!
3. He loves reaching into "containers" for treats.
4. He LOVES his Mommy!
5. He is a sweet, lover boy. He loves to kiss and hug. During the day, he will come over and sit on my lap and wrap his little arms around my neck and just hold me.
6. He LOVES baths!!
7. He hates bedtime and diaper changes.
8. He still sleeps with me and I love it.
9. He is "flirting" with taking one nap a day. Today he only took one! First time ever!
10. I loves it when I say, AMEN, after we pray.
11. Pees on the floor at least once a day and laughs about it!
12. Loves music and dancing. I think he even "sings" sometimes.
13. He cries when the cats fight (they are really loud).
14. Loves to bite Dad's nose.
15. Cannot be left alone with his cup...wets everything.
16. He can almost climb into/out of the tub by himself.
17. Likes to read ALL his books everyday although we never finish one.
18. Is a great "napper" and a terrible "sleeper".
19. Has his Daddy's beautiful blue eyes and irresistible dimple!
20. Hates "order".
21. Loves, loves to play outdoors.
22. Wakes up chatting, smiling and laughing most days.
23. Likes peas even though his Dad hates them.
24. Fed himself him a spoon this week and actually got food in his mouth.
25. Does not want Mommy out of his sight most days. If I am in the house, he needs to see me. If I am gone, he is fine.

Okay, it was supposed to be 25 but now I am on a roll.

26. Has the sweetest smile and greatest laugh ever.
27. Loves to be chased and scared.
28. Loves to play peek-a-boo.
29. Thinks looking in the mirror is fun.
30. Likes turning off the lights.
31. Thinks that EVERYONE we see in the store should LOOK at and TALK to him. If people, do not look at him he will stretch his little head/body around to get their attention. Pretty cute.
32. Will probably nurse at night until he is 12. Not really, but he loves his MumMum.
33. Allows me to cut his nails and watches.
34. Has no idea what "no" means and actually goes "deaf" when he hears the word.
35. Is NOT a daredevil like his cousin Peyton. He is cautious.
36. Likes TV way to much.
37. Likes turning the TV off way to much.
38. Has started sucking on the tags on his Taggie blanket. I think it may end up being his comfort item.
39. Loves throwing food and eating paper.
40. Loves balls, throwing them, hitting them...
41. Is really good at hitting the baseball every time and can make baskets with his new outdoor basketball/slide thing.
42. Wakes up SEVERAL times a night.
43. Sometimes sleeps in until 9:30 and so do I.
44. Doesn't like men.
45. Thinks "big" kids are the greatest.
46. Loves going in the garage.
47. Loves to climb the stairs.
48. Loves it when we walk up the stairs and stop at every picture and talk about them. Really likes looking at pictures of people.
49. Knows what a phone is for. When you give him a cell phone and say" hello", he will put it up to his ear and say something that means "hello".
50. He gets really "proud" of himself sometimes and has a cute little expression to show it.
51. Gets excited everyday when he hears the door open and Daddy is home.
52. It is because of Him that I am a "Mommy".

Bathtime

Baths are so much fun around here! Here is Cannon earlier this week, clowning around.

Usually, after we take a bath, Cannon stays in for a while and plays. I turn the water on and let him splash. Recently, he has learned how to fill up his cup and drink out of it.

For my birthday, my Mimi and Poppy got me this slide! I love it. The day before my mom took this video, dad taught me how to go down the slide by myself. So on this particular day, Mom took me outside, sat me at the top of the slide and let go. I wiggled and wiggled until I went down the slide. I landed sort of hard on the ground. I did it a few more times, she got the camera out. Then I started hanging on to the side of the slide so my landing would not be as hard. When Dad came home from work, Mom told him that I was now kind of scared of going down the slide because of my landings. Apparently, Dad forgot to tell Mom she was supposed to "catch" me before I landed.

I still love my slide.

Climbing the slide is FUN too!
