The boys both got golf clubs for Christmas. Cannon had outgrown his and we thought Sutton needed his first set. We finally got around to taking them to thr driving range. This was Sutton's first time.

Happy 4th Birthday, Cannon.
Happy Birthday, Cannon.
I cannot believe that you are 4 years old today! You are growing up so fast.
For breakfast, you had a yummy waffle covered in nutella and sprinkles.
Today, We dropped Sutton off at school and spent the day together, just the two of us.
You went downstairs to tell your teacher that you would not be a school today because you had "birthday plans".
And did we! We started with milkshakes, of course. You LOVE milkshakes. You would love to have one everyday but we have decided its best for you and Mommy to only have them on milkshake Monday.
Then, we went to Target where we returned something and you shopped around for a new toy. You purchased a Grave Digger Monster Truck Set. You are really enjoying cars, superhero figures, movies, and your Ipad (LeapPad) these days. We still read many books every night. You love to play outside, although you are not as interested in golf as you once were. You love the play set in the backyard and as constantly asking to be pushed on the swing.
After Target, we went to Toys r Us where you got a crown, balloon and they announced your birthday over the intercom. You walked around the store looking for the perfect item and all the employees were talking to you and wishing you a happy birthday. There were moments when you were shy but you always said "thank you". You are a polite little boy and still very loving and nurturing. You are always asking Sutton, "do you love me?". You are still full of hugs and kisses and when Mommy kisses you, you always say, "Mommy, I didn't wipe your kisses off. Was that nice of me?"
After we left TRU, with way more items than intended, we headed to Jump Indoors. Your most favorite thing to do I think is go to the "jumpy place". This was the first time we were able to go just the two of us sicne baby Sutton joined our family. Normally, we meet a friend or have Sutton with us. Let me tell you, Mommy needs your friends when we go there. An hour at the jumpy place for a Mommy that needs to shed quite a few pounds was hard work. I had so much fun with you even though I was out of breath from running and jumping. You are such an active little boy. Not only physically but you imagination is amazing. You love to pretend and have even taught Sutton to pretend about so many things. You are such a good brother. Sutton mimics almost everything you do. One of the first things he does every morning is ask "Where Brudder or Where Cannon?" You cannot stand to hear him cry in the morning and are always rushing in to say, "Mommy, Sutton needs you, go to him".
After Jump Indoors we picked Sutton up from school, came home for naps and then went out to dinner with Daddy. You are not a good napper. If I do not lay down with you,you will not take a nap. You are to busy playing and destroying your room. :)
For dinner we ate at Pizza Hut and then headed over to Chuck E. Cheese to play games. It was your request of course. You really wanted to eat at CEC but Mommy and Daddy could not bring themselves to pay for overpriced pizza that tastes like cardboard ,when Pizza Hut was virtually across the street.
After dinner, we finished up with cake at home and a really late bedtime. You normally are in bed with the lights out no later than 9pm. Mommy and Daddy switch nights doing the bedtime routine. You love to read lots of books before bed. You still sleep with Verdi and Target. They are your special friends. You still are not the greatest sleeper and occasionally wake up in the middle of the night. You never sleep past 7:30. Most mornings you are up by 7am. You are a morning person like your Dad.
It seems like only yesterday that I saw you for the first time. You had the biggest nose! Ha. That was all I could say about you! I told your Daddy over and over that you had his big nose. Your nose didn't stay big for long. You grew into it quite nicely. Hehe.
When I was pregnant with you I was so scared about how you were going to change our lives. Little did I know that it would be the best change of my life!
You are the most generous little boy. You are so caring. You are a snuggler, a great eater, a wild child at times, a great athlete. You can write your name and many other words if I tell you the letters. You still love to draw and always want to play outside. You resist naps everyday, but when Mommy lays down with you, you are out within minutes.
You are the best big brother ever! You are always praising and loving on Sutton. You are so protective of him and always make sure they big kids know that he is your brother. There are moments when I watch you with your brother and I know that you are going to be an amazing Dad one day.
You sleep through the night but wake up waaaay to early. Yoy are always awake by 7am, regardless of what time you go to bed. You are an Early Bird like your Daddy. But also a bit of a Night Owl like your Mommy.
You love to fight rough with your Daddy every night. You love to be outside. You REALLY love to watch TV and movies. You sing LOUD in the car and it makes me smile. You have the sweetest little voice. I hope you always praise God with a loud voice like you do today.
One of your favorite things to do is have a "birthday party". I wonder where you got that from? You use this wooden Melissa and Doug Birthday cake complete with candles and set up a surprise birthday for someone in our house at least once a week.
You love to read at bedtime. As I type this we are more than halfway through your Bible for the SECOND time. I am so proud of you for your knowledge of God's word. You have been participating in AWANAS at our church and you are so great at memorizing Bible verses. It has been a joy to see you grow and learn in His word. Recently, you were playing in the bath tub, making waves and I heard you say "Even the winds and waves obey Him". It was such a proud moment for me. It is my prayer, son, that you continue to desire His word, that you mediatate on it day and night. That you will know that Bible and be able to apply His word in your life.
You now have chores that you do each day: pick up shoes, feed pets, help with dishes, Good helper chore (which varies each day) and clean up your mess. You earn 25 cents for each chore. On Friday, you get paid. You are already learning to tithe and save on your earnings.
You are an amazing little boy. Growing bigger and bigger each day. You tower over many kids your age. You are still "off the charts" for your weight and height. You are close to outgrowing your size 5 pants.
You are such a smart boy, Cannon. A special gift from God. Thank you so much for making me a Mommy. You amaze me everyday. You make me want to be a better person, a better Mommy.
I pray that you continue to be the sweet, nurturing boy that you are. That you continue to learn about God and his word, and memorize his word. I pray that you will become a Godly man of integrity, that your relationship with God will always be the center of your life. I also pray that you will always treasure your brother and that you will always work to make that relationship solid and important in your life. I pray that you will walk in the ways of the Lord, that your heart will seek His, that your mouth will speak words of blessings, edification, mercy and love, that your mind will dwell on the things of God. I pray that you will always know that you were one of the GREATEST things God ever created. You are perfect just the way you are. Mommy and Daddy love you with all of our hearts.
Happy Birthday, my precious 4 year old.
