Teachers

For Cannon's teachers, we recycled the white terra cotta pots from Sutton's birthday. We made "roses" from marshmellows, chocolate and sprinkles and then I made these little gift card holders from wire I got at Lowe's.

They were really cute.

For those of you that know us so well...what places do you think we got gift cards from?

First Date

Cannon and I went on our first date. It was sooo much fun. We went to a Charleston Riverdogs game while Brett and Sutton hung out at home.

I really hope we can make more time for evenings like this. I enjoyed spending time with him. It is not often that we spend time together in which he is the center of my attention. It was really awesome to take the time to enjoy this precious boy without any distractions.

My handsome date.

Cannon had to take my picture and have his made as well.

We stayed until the fireworks. A first for us, we usually leave halfway through. He changed into his jammies for the ride home.

We were fortunate enough to sit behind the bullpin. This pitcher, "Mike", was awesome and played with Cannon. He LOVED it!

Frankie's Fun Park

We took the boys to Frankie's fun park. We've been a couple of times and always have fun but this was the first time that we went JUST to ride the rides. Cannon had a blast and you need to watch the video to remind yourself of how much a a daredevil he is. Yes, he let him ride a crazy ride and he loved it. The video also has soem cute moments of Sutton when he was just learning to walk.

Our Family

Look at this cute drawing Cannon did of his family.
I asked him who was who. Mommy is on the far left, Daddy in the middle and Cannon on far right. The thing in the middle is the slide. I asked where Sutton was and with the saddest face ever he said, "OH NO! I forgot Sutton!"

First Date

Cannon and I had our first date! We went to a Riverdogs baseball game and had so much fun. It was so great to be with just him and be able to give me his undivided attention. He had so much fun and is still taking about it.

This is something I really hope to do more of with both boys.

Cannon just had to take my picture! Ha!

My little baseball star!

Aren't we cute!

This is Mike. He is a pitcher. He were lucky enough to have seats right behind the bull pin. Cannon made a friend. This guy was sooooo nice to him.

These pictures loaded wrong. Here Cannon is playing hide-and-seek with him. The picture above is when he found him.

Time for jammas. Headed home.

Cannon lasted for the entire game, fireworks and all!

Sister

Cannon's little friend, Harper, is having a little sister. He wants one too. He has asked me to pray for a baby sister several times. He has even asked God for a sister.

On the night of Cinco de Mayo, we went to a Mexican restaurant. Afterwards, we were at our car and I had our friend River in my arms. I told Joy we were going to keep her and I placed her on Cannon's lap. He was so excited.

I asked her brother, Dev, if we could have her. He said, "NO!"

With tears in his eyes, Cannon replied, "But I don't have a sister."

So sad.

Standing

Today Sutton went from a fully seated position to a fully standing position without holding on to anything.

He also played at walking all day...a few steps here, a few steps there.

Coloring

Can you believe this is the first time this kid has colored? I feel terrible.

Stop and Savor

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of getting ready for Sutton's party, he crawled over to me, pulled up to a standing position using my leg, held a book up and said "Bak". I stopped everything, snuggled my boy and read him a book.

Just a reminder to stop and savor the sweet moments.

I am 12 Months Old.

These pictures really crack me up. It is very difficult to get one of him seated now. He is so busy! Look back at these pictures and see what he looked like the first time he posed with this bear.

Our Little One Year Old

I am so smitten with this precious little boy.
