TACO BOY!

We ate dinner at this cute place this weekend called Taco Boy in downtown Charleston. Not in a safest area of town but great atmosphere.

We had to wait about 45 minutes. Cannon kept saying, "TACOOOO BOY!" the entire time we were waiting. He kept running to the door saying, "My turn, TACOOOO BOY!" It was really cute.

I really thought the wait would ruin any chances for a peaceful dinner but he was an angel. He devoured some guacamole and a quesadilla covered in sour cream of course. He was asleep before we got back on the interstate.

The Hill

Recently we took Cannon to Wannamaker Park. It was a gorgeous day and it was packed!! It was actually crazy! If you added up every single person I have ever seen at that park in ALL the times I have been there including during the Summer it would not come close to the amount of people that were there! Again, crazy!

There is a huge hill at this park that Cannon has always been attracted to but today was different! Check out the video:



Al the kids were "sledding" down the hill on cardboard. I have a feeling that this may have come about after our recent snow storm and I was quite sad that we missed the opportunity for Cannon to go sledding here. Regardless, all the kids were having a GREAT time without snow!! Since Cannon did not have a piece of cardboard (and really did not get the concept anyway). He chose to go up and down the hill as you see in this video above. Pretty cute, huh?

Boo Boo?

Yesterday, Cannon burned his finger helping me put cheese on our cheeseburger pie (I know, bad mommy!).

He asked for it to be kissed many times last night.

He and Brett were laying in bed and Cannon stretched out his finger and said something that sounded like "boo boo" so Brett reached over and gave Cannon's little finger a GREAT big kiss.

Apparently, Cannon was handing him a "bug" he had just picked out of his nose.

Baby Sutton

Introducing Little Baby Sutton (as Cannon calls him).

Today our sweet friend from Savannah did 4d ultrasounds of our baby. I was so excited for Cannon to get to see him. He seemed to enjoy the images at first but then got bored and wanted to play and flirt with Jessica.

Let me first start by saying, we did not have these done with Cannon. So I had no idea what he might look like. When he was born, the VERY first thing I said was "he has a HUGE nose". My friend Amanda politely called it prominent.

Well, today when we saw Sutton for the first time, my first comment was "oh my, he has that same HUGE nose that Cannon had". Thankfully, Cannon grew into his nose. :) Sutton has Cannon's full pouty lips too!

It is so crazy how much Sutton looks like Cannon when Cannon was first born.

A sweet little profile.

Jessica said he was measuring about 2 pounds and 11 ounces (55th percentile). She also said had a big head (normal but big). Thank God for c-sections!

He was not a cooperative little guy and kept his hands in his face almost the whole time. He was sucking on his hands and fingers too. I have a clip of his heartbeat I will try to load later. The cd is not working.

Day 13 of being Diaper Free.
First day at school since being potty trained, he did FANTASTIC!!!

I Buy These

Today at Walmart, Cannon had stickers in his hand and told me, "I buy these, I buy these stickers." With what money, I wonder?

Doctor's Appointment

I had a doctor's appointment today. It started with me being late for my glucose test! Then drinking that yummy drink. Funny, I really do not think that the "drink" is gross at all. Unlike most Mommas I thought the SMALL dose of orange drink I had with Cannon tasted like orande soda and was not unpleasant at all. But today, I was faced with this HUGE bottle of Fruit Punch. It wasn't huge, it was 50ml but I am 95%sure that the drink I had while preggo with Cannon was AT LEAST half the size of this one. Got through the first half just fine, then Sheryl told me I only had 2 minutes left! WHAT??? So with the pressure of having to dirnk the rest FAST, it made me want to vomit a little. I think I even gagged on my last swallow. I am not crazy about fruit flavored drinks to start with... did I mention that it was HUGE bottle? I felt nauseous my entire visit.

Then I went in to see my nurse. I have gained 9 pounds so far. She checked my blood pressure and said it is HIGH today!!

Dr. Hamilton came in and asked about my blood pressure I blamed it on that glucose drink and the fact that I had to rush to get to the office. I really think my rushing made it high. She made me hang out for a little while and checked it again. It went down but not a lot. She asked if I had high blood pressure with Cannon...Nope! So she told me she wanted to see me in 2 weeks instead of 4 to check my bp again.

We will also schedule my c-section then too! So we will know a birthday for our little boy!

Pray my bp was just my "rush" to the office and nothing else. :)

A Historical Day for the Lowcountry!

This area has not seen real, honest to goodness, stick to the ground, play around, good ole snow since 1989!!!

These first pictures are from Thurday night around 7pm, right before bedtime. Cannon and I were so excited to see the snow! I told him that morning that it might snow and that we could build a snowman. He waited for snow all day. Once we were outside and he said, "oh no, where snow Mommy?" A few hours later it came!

We did loose power for about 2 hours Thursday night but it was back on before we woke. Thank God. I could not sleep I was so excited to play in the snow with Cannon the next morning.

Cannon woke up at 5am and the first thing he said was "Make Snowman!" I talked him into laying in bed for a little while but we were out playing in the snow before 7am. All of our neighbors were tucked away, warm in their beds and we were in the snow. It was so fun! Cannon LOVED the snow. He called it "my snowy".
