Chickens, Bach Bach, and Eggs OH MY!

Mimi and Poppy have chickens and Cannon LOVES them! Everyday we had to visit the chickens. Actually several times!

Here is a peek into one of those days...

There is an egg this time.

Cannon reaching for the egg.

So proud.

Here is a video of Cannon with his egg. He is so concerned with more eggs that he will not even look at the camera. It is still cute though, you get to see him sign "more" and ask to "hold you".

Then....this happened.
Video coming soon...if blogger will ever coroperate.

SC State Fair

About 2 weeks ago we decided to take a spontaneous "one child" day trip to the SC State Fair. If you have not been, it is a MUST! It is a GREAT fair and truly all other fairs in SC pale in comparision. We love this fair, MAINLY for all the yummy fattening food. :)

Here is Cannon enjoying FRIED COOKIE DOUGH! This kid DEVOURED it!

We were very excited to show Cannon all the animals. He loved the cows and kept saying, "ride" and "back" meaning he wanted to ride on the cows back! We watched the pig races, so fun. It was COLD and starting raining during the races.

Cute video of the goat feeding. Notice the little dance he does near the end. He did that everytime he ran out of food.

Taking a break.

Just so happened that Michelle and Davis were in town and we met them at the fair.

The boys had so much fun playing, chasing, hugging, laughing, screaming. Davis and Cannon really like each other and it just makes my heart smile. I love that they love each other!

This is a quick video of them dancing together.

Updates

-Cannon now says, "Hold you", when he wants me to hold him.

-He has been sleeping in his own room since Saturday. He still wakes every morning at 4:30-5:30 am! So I go in there and lay with him, IF I am lucky he goes back to sleep.

-This week he looked at a picture of his friend, Anna and said "pretty".

-Everytime I ask him if he had fun at school he says, "Yes, girls."

-He no longer cries when I take him to school.

-He will go pee pee in the potty at school.

-He is beginning to understand the concept of counting. When I say let's count...one...he says "two"...then I continue to count...three...cannon says "SIX!" and claps.

"Favorite"

Today when I picked Cannon up from school his teacher said, "Cannon has become quite the little flirt!" She said he gives them these cute little smiles and shows that irresistible dimple!

I asked if he was good in class and she said "Oh yes, actually today we were talking about how he is our favorite." Apparently, he is the only one that is always good and listens very well. Everytime she tells him to do something, he does it promptly and without whining (what??)Plus, well, he has that dimple. :)

Pumpkin Patch I

This week we went to the Pumpkin Patch with Joy and Devric. I am sure this was only our FIRST visit this year. Since Cannon joined our family I find myself sooooo excited for the fall because the holidays are soooooo fun!

He loved the tractors. The minute he climbed on he started saying, "Grampy, Grampy". Grampy has given Cannon two tractors and works at a tractor place. So whenever, he sees a tractor he always thinks of his Grampy.
Cannon removed this hat from a scarecrow and ran around saying, "hat"!

He loved picking up all the pumpkins. It is amazing the large pumpkins this child was lifting. I was so worried he was going to hurt himself.

At some point, he found these two small pumpkins and they were instantly "mine",
his favorite new word.

I just love this picture of the boys! Dev had crazy hair this day and it was cute! Look at how he squints he face! I love it. Joy said Cannon looked like Johnny Cash in his black.

He might be dancing here.
We had a great time. We have plans to go to the West Farm Corn Maze VERY soon. Stay tuned for more pictures...

Waterfront Park

We found a little "treasure" last weekend, Waterfront Park in North Charleston. We picked up Carrabba's, picked the perfect picnic table and had a great dinner. Then we enjoyed walking around the park. It was so relaxing. There just happened to be a church that was there playing contemporary christian music and it really added to the evening.

Purposely, we ended our walk near the sprinkler knowing that our Little Monkey would need to play. He had so much fun.

Bad Influence

My Dada is a bad influence.

Firetruck/ChooChoo Day

It was Firetruck Day at school on Monday. The firetruck came to school and all the kids were allowed to tour it. According to Cannon's sweet teacher, he got to "drive". He also received this hat which he loved until tonight when it became a jump toy. It is now destroyed.

He calls the firetruck a choo choo.

Mimi

When Mimi and Poppy were here, she brought him a new pair of pajamas. Last week, I finally washed them and he wore them to bed. As we were reading books before bed, Cannon kept pointing to his pajamas and saying "Mimi, Mimi". I said "did your Mimi give you these pajamas"? "Yes", replied Cannon. The next morning, he woke up and pointed to his pajamas again, "Mimi".

How cute that he is relating these things.
