Our vaccuum died but not before spitting out a "mess" on the carpet upstairs.
Today, Cannon climbed the stairs and found his swiffer at the top, he went over and said, "mess, mess, mess" and started cleaning.

Now I Sang My ABC's...
Cannon loves to sing the ABC song. He even notices letters on signs as we go down the street and he will start singing. Yes, I am aware that he only says, "A, B, A, B" but he thinks he is singing the song and I think he is amazing!
In this video he is a little distracted by "Yo Gabba Gabba".

Big Boy Cup
Cannon loves to drink from a regular cup and is, shall I say, was getting rather good at it! So good that I thought I would video tape it THEN he got distracted...

I AM 18 months old!
Can you believe that I am 18 months old?
Well, it is true...
I am ALMOST TWO!
I saw my pediatrician today, Dr. Tripp.
She thinks I am so funny.
I think I impressed her today with my ABC's. She also pointed pictures out to me from my book and I even told her what they were! Yes, she was impressed. :)
I even let her look in my ears...and they are perfect. Have you people even noticed that I have not been sick ONCE since my surgery????
I got two shots and that made me very upset but "Maama"
did give me two lollipops to make up for it.
Lately, Dada has been saying that I was getting skinny and Maama did not believe him. Well, today I only weighed 28.3 lbs which is in the 80th percentile (I have always been 90-98th in weight). I am 33.75 inches long (90th percentile, getting taller) and my head is 48cm
(75th percentile).
Mom promises to put up an 18 month photo this week but she keeps saying I need a haircut first. :)

Things I Do Not Want to Forget
-Cannon is currently obsessed with Elmo and Yo Gabba Gabba. He picks up the remote and runs to the television and says "Elmo" or "GabGabGabGabGabGabGab" depending on which television he is near (he only watches Elmo upstairs, Yo Gabba downstairs).
-He swaddles Elmo and carries him around the house, carefully placing him in a chair and then moments later flings Elmo across the room. He loves to point out Elmo, Big Bir and Cookie in his books.
-He says "Amen" after we pray.
-Tonight he made an airplane from Legos and was swirling it through the air saying "air pla".
-Cannon is also obsessed with his sandbox that his Poppy made him. He would spend every waking moment in it if he could.
-He no longer says, "Nonononono", he now says "No!" with passion and determination.
-He has become shy. When strangers start talking to him he ducks his little head and looks away.
-He loves "WaaWaa" aka water. He loves filling containers and emptying them especially on me.
-He can now repeat every word you ask him to, as long as he is willing. Willing is the key word.
- He can say his ABC's. Okay, not really but he does say "Aaa, Bay, Aaa, Bay" over and over. It is start!
-He has become quite the helper. When something spills, I can give him a towel and he will clean it up. He sweeps every time I do. This week he also helped me dust.
-He feeds the cats every morning. He is getting really good at filling the bowls and when he misses he now picks up the cat food and puts it in the dish.
-He is obsessed with drums and this African drum music that I have for him. He turns it on every chance he gets. (His Auntie Cheryl hates this music but Auntie Chelle and I love it).
-He asks for his friend Anna everyday.
-He now says, "Me", constantly.
-Every time we drive by Chic-Fil-A or McDonalds he starts signing slide and saying "sly, sly".
-He can say almost anything you ask him to. Brett and I were counting and he says well over 25 words, unprompted.
Including but not limited to: Mama, Dada, Cat, Bird, Fish, Dog, Boat, Car, Slide, Swing, hot, Cold, cup, banana, bed, bear, bug, fly, bunny, airplane, bubbles, slide, water, off, amen, up, boat, open, baby, exercise, go, chair, pool, puzzle, ant, danger, book, bubbles, blocks, teeth, mouth, eyes, nose, toes, beebo, hair, bath, blueberries, oatmeal, more, nurse, ouch, boo boo, baby, yogurt, milk, shoes, spoon, snack, dip, cracker, block, drum, horse, cookie, big bird, splash, roar, oh no, oops, uh oh, elmo, tv, bye bye, hi, music, paint, color, boom boom, drum, golf, Jesus, Bible, amen, pee pee, poopy, potty, m&m, water, light, fan, NO!, Nana, Mimi, Papa, Anna, Emma, all done, hot, cold, ant, ark, clock, puppet, silly, broom, outside, sun, moon...I am certain I am leaving out some but you get the point. It is crazy how much he can say these days.
He has also started putting "a" in front of words... a dog, a bird.
-He can comprehend so much! You can tell him to do so many things now and he will just go do it. He is so amazing.

"Pait" and "Mew"
We have decided that the garage is our new playroom. The weather has been nice lately and it has been really comfortable out there. We have been doing a lot of "painting"... with water that is! Every good artist needs some great music for inspiration so we have the stereo loaded with Cannon's cds. Everytime, I open the garage door now, he runs into the garage picks up a paint brush, runs over to the sink and asks for "pait" then he goes over to the stereo, points and says, "mew"...then he starts working in his next masterpiece

Sometimes you have to just stop painting and you have to dance.
Happy Birthday DaDa!
Last week we celebrated Brett's birthday with CUPCAKES!
Well, it IS his birthday so I should probably share.

Sweet Boy
We are so blessed with a sweet little boy. Just a few of the sweet things he does...
-Cannon has only held my hand a few times and then only for a couple of minutes. But today at the waterpark he decided that he wanted to hold both my hand and Brett's. It was really cute. Then as we were leaving he did it again as we walked to the car.
-Cannon says, "Amen" after we pray. Precious.
-He loves he friend Anna. He can say her name so sweetly. He has awakened everyday since she left, ran to the bedroom door and called for her "Annnna".
-He is obsessed with Elmo and kissed Elmo's picture in a book about 10 times tonight. He picks up the remote, point sit at the television and says, "Elmo". I wish you could see his face when Elmo comes on, it brightens up, the biggest smile and he gets so excited.
-Every night as Cannon is going to sleep. He reaches over and wraps his arms around my neck and squeezes me.
-Cannon loves to kiss other kids especially on the lips! All babies MUST get kissed on the lips.

Friends!
This week was really fun! Two of Cannon's favorite people came to visit with their Moms. Anna and Cheryl stayed with us for a few days. Davis and Michelle also came despite her severe allergic reaction to cats she was able to spend the night!! Thanks to zyrtec!!! Now she has no more excuses for not visiting us!! Yay!
Anna and Cannon enjoyed the pools and fudge popsicles. Sorry, Davis you left to early!

Lovelace Farm
Initially, we had planned to spend our July 4th in Summerville and attend a local parade. We had planned to decorate Cannon's little car but decided since we were not going to the parade that we would decorate his stroller anyway.

Finished product!
Clintons served a couple of years ago. HUGE!!!
Cannon and I had so much fun "harvesting" from the garden on Saturday morning.
Tomatoes, Eggplant, Cucumbers, and Peppers, OH MY!

Is that Pee Pee in the Potty?
My son just emptied his cup in his potty, then proceeded to empty the potty in the toilet and then came over and said "Mmmm" for an M&M. Seriously? Does he think he is fooling me?

VBS
Last week was VBS at our church. It was my first time as an adult. I was with the older 2year olds. This was a LONG week for Cannon as evidenced in this picture. We was with his class from 8:30-12:00 Monday-Friday. He had good and bad days!
This Sunday when we went to drop him off for nursery he began screaming, "Mama...Dada". He did NOT want to be left again BUT he had a GREAT day! Maybe nursery isn't so bad!
